Overview

Located in the heart of Kampung Baru Semenyih along Jalan Lapan, Da Jia Hao Kopitiam 大家好茶室 offers a genuine taste of traditional Chinese kopitiam culture, blending nostalgic flavors with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. This quaint eatery, known for its authentic Malaysian Chinese fare, is a hidden gem for those craving familiar, comforting dishes prepared with care by local chefs.

The menu highlights simple yet satisfying staples like Mee Goreng, Wan Tan Mee, and various renditions of curry noodles including 干捞咖喱鸡面 and 咖喱面. The dry curry noodles stand out for their rich depth and balanced spices, delivering a memorable punch that evokes childhood memories. Another favored dish is their Char Kway Teow, which consistently impresses with wok hei that adds a smoky undertone — a true testament to the kitchen’s dedication to authentic preparation techniques.

Breakfast here feels like a step back in time, with classic offerings like Roti Bakar and robust local coffee (“kopi C”) brewed to perfection. Not so crowded but limited car park space, situated near the Wet Market. It’s not very hot and very nostalgic. Their dry Curry Noodle is very delicious. Nice Copi C.

A humble kopitiam near to the wet market. Friendly owner and staff. Fast service. Good breakfast. Reasonable price. Breakfast for 7 pax cost RM80.50. Place is clean and airy. U may want to park a little far to avoid the morning traffic congestion around the area.

Good authentic food. One of the best fried kuay teow. I did not take the photo. Must try food here. Curry mee also was tasty. We can find the taste of our childhood food here.

We came to this place for breakfast. It was quite full even though it was a weekday. The coffee is very nice and the owner was friendly too. They have stalls selling noodles, char kway teow and nasi lemak. The char kway teow was excellent. A nice place for breakfast with small town and retro vibes.

I visited Dai Jia Hao Kopitiam 大家好茶室 at the new area in Semenyih(四毛月), and I really enjoyed the food here! I tried their fried mee sua, fried chicken chop, and char kuey teow, and everything was cooked really well. The fried mee sua was crispy and fragrant, the chicken chop was juicy with a nice crunch, and the char kuey teow had great wok hei — super flavorful and satisfying! One thing I really appreciate is that all the dishes are prepared by local Chinese chefs, so the taste feels very authentic and consistent. Compared to many places that rely on foreign workers, you can really taste the difference in how carefully the food is cooked here. The kopitiam itself is clean and comfortable, and it’s a nice spot for breakfast, brunch, or a simple lunch with friends and family. I’ll definitely come back to try more of their menu next time!

Small coffee shop in Semenyih town centre, near the Chinese market. The food quality was very good. We had their yee min and char koay teow plus iced coffee. All tasted great. Will come again to try their other dishes. The boss lady was very friendly and introduced their menu to us as she is aware we are first timer here. The shop was a bit warm, and parking could be a challenge. They are off every Friday
